Choosing the Right People for your Inner Circle

It's been said, "who you spend the most time with, can have a powerful impact on how you feel about yourself." While the “five people” rule may not necessarily be backed up by scientific evidence, it is true that spending time with people who are positive, supportive, and believe in you can have a profound effect on your self-esteem. So, if you don’t have people in your inner circle who fill these criteria, what should you do?

The Power of Positive People

We all need to surround ourselves with people who bring out the best in us. Being around negative people can be draining and exhausting. When we are around those who make us feel good about ourselves and our achievements, it can help boost our confidence and remind us of our strengths. It is important to remember that no one is perfect; we all have flaws and mistakes that we learn from. The key is to find people who will accept us for our imperfections and focus on the positive aspects of our character instead of putting us down or making us feel bad about ourselves.

Building Your Support System

If you don’t already have positive influencers in your life, it is never too late to start building a support system. Think about what kind of person would bring out the best in you—do they need to be funny? Kind? Understanding? Consider which activities make you happiest—is it sports, music, or art. Join a club or organization where you can meet like-minded individuals and make meaningful connections. Make sure to listen as much as you talk; getting to know someone else means understanding their interests, values, and beliefs as well as expressing your own.

Make Time for Yourself

Finally, don’t forget to set aside time for yourself! Taking some time away from other people allows us to reflect on our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment or interruption. Taking regular breaks from social media helps too—it reminds us that there is more to life than just comparing ourselves with others online! It also gives us an opportunity to recognize how far we have come since last year or even last month so that we can appreciate ourselves for everything we have achieved thus far.

Building a strong inner circle starts with finding the right kind of people who will bring out the best in you—and then making sure that those relationships are nurtured through communication and mutual respect. We also must take time for ourselves so that we can reflect on our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment or interruption so that we can fully appreciate everything we have achieved so far! With a little effort and determination, anyone can build an inner circle filled with positive influencers who believe in them!
